Specifications and models
JJ-80, JJ-90, JJ-100, JJ-120, JJ-130, JJ-205
Instructions for use
Select the appropriate model of laryngoscope blade by a qualified clinical physician.
(1) Open the package and take out the contents.
(2) Insert the blade into the handle.
(3) Tilt the patient's head back to increase the angle through the oral cavity and the laryngeal axis, facilitating the exposure of the glottis.
(4) The laryngoscope blade should be inserted from the right side of the oral cavity (between the right edge of the tongue and the cheek). As the blade moves towards the center of the oral cavity, the tongue will automatically be pushed to the left, not obstructing the view and operation for intubation (do not press the tongue under the blade).
(5) First, observe the uvula, then lift the blade and advance until the epiglottis is visible.
(6) Lift the epiglottis to expose the glottis. Place the blade at the junction of the epiglottis and the base of the tongue (epiglottic vallecula), and pull it firmly upward and forward to tense the hyoepiglottic ligament, causing the epiglottis to rise and adhere to the laryngoscope blade, thus exposing the glottis.
(7) After exposing the glottis, if the two parallel light-colored vocal cords (vocal folds) are separated and inactive, intubation can proceed.
(8) After use, dispose of the blade and handle as medical waste.
